Scott Pellerito is retired with twenty years as a chief in the police and fire services. He also retired after twenty years as the fleet and asset director for Dean Transportation, a private school bus transportation company in Michigan.
A Michigander, attended West Catholic High School, Grand Rapids Community College, Michigan State University, and the University of Notre Dame.
Scott served on active duty with the United States Navy from 1975 - 1979 aboard the U.S.S. Forrestal CV-59 as a Radioman Petty Officer. He continued to serve in the active Naval Reserves from 1980 - 1991 as a Master at Arms Petty Officer assigned to a Seabee Construction Battalion.
Active in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary holding offices as the Assistant Director of HR, Assistant Director of Strategic Planning, Division Commanding Officer, and Flotilla Commanding Officer. He also volunteered with the United States Naval Sea Cadet Program, retiring as Great Lakes Regional Director.
As a professional, he has served on boards for the Michigan Association of Police Chiefs, Michigan Associate of Fire Chiefs, National Fire & Arson Investigators, Michigan State Police School Bus Committee, and Michigan School Bus Association.
Other memberships include the Warthogs Motor Cycle Club, Free & Accepted Masons, Commanders Club of Michigan, and International Code Council.
In addition to being an author, he is the CEO of S&P Consulting LLC and CEO of Pellerito Press LLC with his wife, June, in Lansing, Michigan.
